The Indira Gandhi National Open University announces the online admission twice in a year i.e January and July for the respective year. After taking online admission, students can check their admission is confirmed or not by going through the university online portal. After admission confirmation of students, the next process is to sends the hard copy of study material for BA, BDP, BPP, MA, MCOM, MCA, MBA etc to student’s registered address via post.
Be remember that students need to fill registered address correct while filling the admission form. Otherwise study material will not be delivered to his/ her address. The study material includes books and assignments booklet in form of hard copy for first year / semester as per need. All the books for the concerned discipline are not provided once. It is provided to his/her address after the confirmation of registration / re-registration form and course fee by the regional centre.
Many students receive their study material on their registered address on time while few of them didn’t receive. They get worried and started to search on Internet or contact to their regional or study centre. For those students, the university provides the direct link on their official website to check study material status that it has been dispatched or not.
If his/her took admission in January cycle, easily get the study materials / books by March month and if in July month, will get study material up to September month. If it’s not received, Students can visit to regional centre to get their study materials when they get any information via mobile SMS or email.

Students who have taken admission in July 2017 and January 2018 cycle and still waiting for their study material. For the student’s point of view, the university provides the direct link on its official website to check the dispatch status of their study material for July 2017 and January 2018 cycle.

Sometimes, students didn’t receive their study material / books due to any reason. For the students point of view, the distance university provides the soft copy of study material / books and assignment booklet which can be easily downloaded from the university official website in the form of PDF at free of cost.
To provide study material as a soft copy, the university launched an online portal www.egyankosh.ac.in. The study material online portal is to store, index, preserve, distribute and share the digital learning resources developed by the Open and Distance Learning Institutions in the country. 1.) For Registration : First of all, students need to fill all required fields to register at Egyankosh.ac.in.
a) Select registration type and press
b) Fill Your Form.
c) After that go to at http://www.egyankosh.ac.in/password-login to log in and access the study material / books / question papers in the form of PDF files.
2.) After Registration and login, follow simple steps which are used to view/download IGNOU study material.
At search repository window (Top Left Corner)
a) Type Course Code or Course name or relevant Keyword and press search button.
b) Click on Course code / Course name to View/Download (under Community hits)
c) Click on respective blocks
d) Click on respective links (under List of Items)
e) Click on ‘View/Open’ button to View/Download the Study Material
